The MSI Claw 8 AI Plus was officially launched in the US market earlier in the month, despite the initial plans to launch it early next year instead. While it did hit the international market ahead of schedule, it looks like it may hit the local one right on schedule.
This is because the MSI Claw 8 AI Plus has made an appearance in the SIRIM database. The listing shows that it was registered on 24 December under Achieva Technology, simply as the Claw 8 rather than the full name with the two suffixes.
When it was first launched, the MSI Claw 8 AI Plus boasted a spec sheet that included an 8-inch Full HD+ IPS 120Hz touchscreen, an Intel Core Ultra 258V with 32GB of LPDDR5X-8533 RAM, Intel Arc 140V integrated GPU and 1TB of NVMe 4.0 storage. For now, there’s no reason to believe that we’ll be getting something different, but the company has yet to say anything in an official capacity.
Which extends to its price as well. The MSI Claw 8 AI Plus launched with a US$899 price tag, which translates to about RM4,014 at the time of writing. For context, the original Claw, retroactively renamed the Claw 7, launched with a price of US$799, which translated locally to RM3,499.
