The Lenovo Legion Go S and its shell have essentially been leaked till kingdom come at this point. Recently, a source close to leakster site Videocardz has shared two details about the consoles: earlier renders of the device were indeed final, and more renders of it, including promotional shots.
The source also confirmed that the Legion Go S will be powered by an AMD Ryzen Z2 Go APU and again, as per earlier rumours, it is based on the older Zen3 or Zen3+ CPU and RDNA2 GPU architectures. The CPU is similar to the custom APU used in the Steam Deck, and more importantly, it falls in line with the hardware guidelines Valve laid out for consoles to be compatible with its SteamOS.
On that note, it is also important to note that, while still unconfirmed, Lenovo could be releasing a variant of the Legion Go S that runs on SteamOS, alongside the Windows-based SKU.
What is confirmed, at least through the renders and promotional images, is that the Legion Go S will feature dual USB4 ports at the top, and will use Lenovo’s Legion TrueStrike controllers and triggers. Additionally, it sports an 8-inch FHD+ (1920 x 1200) display with a 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of 500 nits, and should come with either 16GB or 32GB LPDDR5X RAM and a 55.5Whr battery.
As for the pricing, the gaming handheld could retail at a starting price of €600 (~RM2,807).
