Several Samsung Galaxy S22 users are reporting in droves that their phones are suffering from a wide range of issues. As for the cause of these issues, they supposedly began to emerge after updating their devices to One UI 6.1.
Issues plaguing Galaxy S22 devices range from the displays glitching, being stuck in a boot loop, to One UI 6.1 just bricking their devices. One user who goes by the name Nikhil (@rocknik05), posted their frustration on X, showing how their phone was stuck in the dreaded boot loop. Nikhil explained that the issue persisted despite following a variety of troubleshooting methods, including cache clearing and factory resets.
After One UI 6.1.1, my Galaxy S22 Ultra is stuck in a bootloop. Service says it’s a motherboard issue but there is no physical damage. As a loyal user of 4 Samsung devices, I’m losing trust. @SamsungMobile what now?”@SamsungIndia @tarunvats33 @stufflistings pic.twitter.com/PJ9xQpEy8O

Samsung has already issued a statement to the tech portal, Notebookcheck, saying that they are aware of the issues and is investigating the issues based on user feedback. It also said that any warranty claims would be reviewed on a case-by-case basis although, unsurprisingly, this answer didn’t go down well with the crowd.
It also doesn’t help that Samsung claims that the root of the issue could be defective motherboards that were used in the assembly of the affected Galaxy S22 devices and that its warranty services do not cover repair services. To be clear, the issue with boot loops seems to be the common of the multiple issues and suggests a critical failure in the device’s ability to properly load the OS after the update.
