Xiaomi has launched a new entry-level smartphone in India under its POCO sub-brand called the C75 5G. It is the 5G variant of the C75 4G that was introduced last month as well as being a rebadge of the Redmi A4.
The C75 5G sports a 6.88-inch 720p LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 600 nits. Under the hood, it runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 4s Gen 2, which comes with support for 5G, Wi-Fi 5, and Bluetooth 5.3, but no NFC compatibility unlike its 4G counterpart.
On the imaging side, the phone features a 50MP main camera, a depth sensor, and a 5MP selfie shooter. Powering the budget device is the same 5,160mAh battery with support for 18W charging. Additionally, it gets a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and ships with HyperOS based on Android 14, with a promise for two major Android upgrades.
The C75 5G retails at INR7,999 (~RM424) for the 4GB+64GB variant. It is unknown when Xiaomi plans to release the phone in Malaysia and whether it will sell it under just one or both sub-brands, although the company has previously sold the same phone under both POCO and Redmi here.
