As the launch of NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 50 Series draws nearer, two brands have more or less confirmed that the RTX 5080 and 5090 are on the way. Whether the disclosure was a snafu or done on purpose, the brands Zotac and Acer have certainly made it clear that the next-generation Blackwell GPUs are on the way.
The very mention of the RTX 5080 and 5090 GPUs were spotted by the leakster site, Videocardz, who managed to catch screenshots of both the GPU brand Zotac listing the two cards on its website, along with the RTX 5070 Ti and 5070. That listing has since been deleted by the brand, for obvious reasons.
For Acer, the PC brand advertised its Predator Orion 7000 Series would be refreshed with both GPU configurations, depending on the consumer’s preference. Unsurprisingly, a quick search on our end – based on the screenshot taken by Videocardz, the search page appears to be from the Acer Germany site – yielded no results, suggesting that the brand may too, have taken down the listing.
The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 Series was teased earlier last week during the Game Awards 2024, when CD Projekt Red showed off the first trailer of the upcoming Witcher IV. It made clear that the entire trailer was rendered using an “unannounced” NVIDIA GeForce RTX GPU, which hid very little.
Just hours later, NVIDIA announced its GeForce LAN 50 party, a 50-hour gaming marathon that is set to kick off on 4 January 2025 and continue until 6 January, when NVIDIA CEO, Jen-Hsun Huang, gives his keynote at CES 2025.
