Live photos allegedly featuring the Plus variant of Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S25 flagship line-up have surfaced online. Not only do these images show what the phone could actually look like, they also revealed one particular detail that most leaks may have missed.
One of the photos, shared by user Jukanlosreve on X, depicts the side profile of the alleged Galaxy S25+. What’s interesting here is the addition of another button on the bottom half of the device’s frame, which suspiciously resembles the iPhone 16 series‘ Camera Control.
If the leak is to be believed, this could mean that Samsung’s upcoming flagship smartphone models will feature a dedicated touch panel for controlling camera features such as zooming, focusing and so on. Of course, the South Korean tech giant isn’t the first to pull off this move, as OPPO’s recently launched Find X8 series also came with a similar feature. For all we know, this could end up as a trend for smartphones coming in 2025.
Design-wise, disappointingly, it appears that the Galaxy S25+ would still resemble its predecessor for the most part, matching prior leaks. The more significant changes, apart from the new button, will likely come in the form of newer internal hardware. On that note, rumours suggest that all three Samsung flagship models will feature Snapdragon chips, though sources also say there won’t be much changes to their respective camera loadouts.
As always, the legitimacy of these leaks remains to be seen and thankfully, we probably have about a month to go before eventually finding out. While unconfirmed officially, it is rumoured that Samsung will launch its new Galaxy S25 series in late January 2025.
