Back in September, Acer unveiled the Nitro V 14 gaming laptop as part of the lineup the brand unveiled at IFA 2024. At the time, there was no indication as to when, or even if, the laptop will make its way to our shores. But during the launch earlier today, the company gave members of the media a sneak peek at a local variant of the laptop.
Being just a preview, there’s still a lot of important information that’s missing, such as what the Acer Nitro V 14 will cost, or when you can actually buy it. And I say “it” because the model shown is the only configuration that the laptop will be available in when it officially gets launched, according to the company.
With that out of the way, the local model of the Acer Nitro V 14 will come with an AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS processor with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 GPU. This is effectively the laptop’s top-of-the-line config. For memory and storage, it will be getting 16GB of SoDIMM DDR5 with upgrades possible up to 64GB, as well as a 1TB PCIe 4 SSD, with there being two slots for SSDs. The brand’s local site also lists only one variant, with a 16:10 equivalent of QHD for its display resolution, or more specifically 2,560 x 1,600, and it does get up to a 120Hz refresh rate.
A company rep did say that the launch of the Acer Nitro V 14 will be happening in the coming months, but stopped short of sharing specifics. That will also be when the brand will be revealing the price, but it looks like we’ll just have to wait until then to find out.
