Huawei has unveiled yet another pair of earbuds with the FreeBuds SE 3, an affordable model from the FreeBuds lineup. Compared to its predecessor, the new buds retain the hard tip design but with new colours along with slightly extended battery life and an upgrade to Bluetooth 5.4.
Coming in black and gold colourways, both options come with a faux leather material on the case and as for comfort, each bud only weighs 3.8g. The buds are controlled via taps and for pairing, it gets a physical pairing button with pairing pop-up support for Huawei phones. On the protection side, the earbuds themselves get an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance.
As it is the brand’s budget option, it does not come with active noise cancellation, but it does come with noise cancellation for phone calls. Battery-wise, the earbuds claim to last up to nine hours on a single charge, with a total usage time of 42 hours when combined with the charging case.
The FreeBuds SE 3 are priced at CNY199 (~RM121) in China but the Malaysian pricing has not been revealed yet. Its local facebook page has announced that the new earbuds are coming soon, so it will likely be launched next week together with the FreeBuds Pro 4.
