In conjunction with the launch of the National AI Office (NAIO), Google also announced that it was working on “AI at Work”, one of the two AI-based initiatives it has in the pipeline.
AI at Work is currently a pilot program with the Ministry of Digital that “seeks to enhance productivity by having AI assist with tasks like report writing and meeting summarization, freeing up valuable time for public officers to focus on strategic priorities.” Basically, Google Cloud and the Ministry want to integrate Gemini for Workspace into the daily workflow of public officers.
“An always-on AI collaborator that helps teams write, organize, visualize, accelerate workflows, have richer meetings, and more, Gemini for Workspace was built with the everyday demands of organizations in mind. It gives users access to Gemini – Google’s most capable multimodal AI models, built into the collaboration and productivity apps that billions of people use every day, with built-in enterprise-grade protections that ensure data is not shared outside an organization’s trust boundary.”
Adding on to the AI at Work initiative, Google also wants to add on NotebookLM as an additional service for public officers. With the tool, the public officers can upload source documents into a “Notebook” and ask NotebookLM questions regarding information within the source.
