Xiaomi has officially unveiled what is expected to be the global version of the Redmi Note 14 in India. Unlike the Pro series, this variant of the vanilla model contains some differences from the model in China that was released back in September, with an improved front camera, an additional lens, as well as an under-display fingerprint scanner instead of one on the side.
Aside from those changes, its other specs remain the same, including the 6.67-inch 1080p AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 2,100 nits. Under the hood, the mid-ranger runs on a MediaTek Dimensity 7025 Ultra chipset paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, but of course, the exact configurations offered will likely differ by country.
On the optics side, the Note 14 features a 50MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, a 2MP macro lens, and a 20MP selfie snapper. Powering it is the same 5,110mAh battery with support for 45W charging. Connectivity-wise it supports 5G, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.3, and NFC. As for protection, the phone comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and an IP64 rating for dust and water resistance.
The Note 14 comes in three colour options and has a retail price starting from INR17,999 (~RM939) for the base trim. For now, it is unknown when the lineup will be launching in other markets.
