Astro One Officially Launches; Starts From RM49.99

Includes three new packages: Entertainment, Sports, and Epic.

Astro today has launched Astro One, a new suite of simplified entertainment packages aimed at enhancing access to quality content for Malaysian families. Starting from RM49.99, this new offering includes Entertainment Pack, Sports Pack and Epic Pack, providing customers with flexibility, affordability and a diverse range of viewing options.

The new packages combine TV channels, popular streaming apps, and optional broadband services. According to Astro, these reflect a deep understanding of modern viewing habits, spanning mobile phones, tablets, laptops, and TVs. Content includes a mix of international, regional, vernacular programming, and Astro’s own original productions.

Astro Group CEO Euan Smith says Astro One is built with a customer-first approach. It aims to simplify the entertainment experience by consolidating everything in a cohesive service. He adds that customers can personalise their subscriptions with affordable add-ons, including streaming apps and high-speed broadband, delivering value and convenience.

Astro One’s Entertainment Pack features Astro Originals like Project: Exit and The Best of Us, alongside popular shows such as Gegar Vaganza and Attam. It also covers a wide range of genres, including kids’ programming, Korean dramas, Chinese and Indian shows, and international hits.

Next up is the Sports Pack, which is designed for sports fans, featuring live coverage of the Premier League, BWF Tournaments, Formula 1, MotoGP, NBA, and more. Moreover, it also includes all content from the Entertainment Pack, plus access to beIN SPORTS CONNECT.

Lastly, we have the Epic Pack, offering an all-inclusive package with everything from the Sports and Entertainment Packs. It includes streaming services such as Netflix, Disney+ Hotstar, and Max.

Additionally, each pack can be customised with easy add-ons, including over 11 popular streaming apps (Netflix, Disney+ Hotstar, Viu, iQIYI, WeTV, Zee5, Simply South and more), special content packs tailored to unique interests including (ie: Variety, Kids, News and Documentaries, Sports Extra and HBO channels with Max content), as well as services including GO+, Multiroom and Astro Fibre Broadband choices with speeds ranging from 100 Mbps to 800 Mbps. Subscribers can modify their packs or add-ons anytime via the My Astro app, ensuring a seamless and tailored experience.

Astro One supports up to four simultaneous streams on the Astro GO app, depending on the package selected. With Ultra and Ulti Box, users gain access to on-demand streaming, complemented by Astro Fibre’s broadband services for uninterrupted viewing.

The new Astro One packs are now available via Astro’s official website and mobile app. The Entertainment Pack is priced at RM49.99 per month, Sports Pack at RM99.99/month, and finally the Epic Pack at RM199.99/month.
