itel has released yet another affordable smartphone into the Malaysian market with the P55 5G. This follows the arrival of the S25 Ultra, which is a 4G-only budget option. The 5G phone was unveiled late last year and started appearing in other markets earlier this year.
The P55 sports a 6.6-inch 720p LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate and an undisclosed brightness rating. Underneath the chassis is a MediaTek Dimensity 6080 chipset paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. For connectivity, it also supports unspecified versions of Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, but unlike the S25 Ultra, it does not come with NFC compatibility.
On the optics side, it features a basic setup made up of a 50MP main camera, a depth sensor, and an 8MP front shooter. Powering the entry-level device is a 5,000mAh battery with support for 18W charging. Moreover, it offers a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for unlocking while for software, it ships with Android 13.
The P55 5G starts from RM459 for the 6GB+128GB variant while the 8GB+256GB configuration costs RM499. It is available in blue, gold, and green colour options.
