itel has a new entry-level smartphone called the S25 Ultra, which was unveiled back in November. While Samsung’s next flagship, which will likely bear the same name, isn’t due for a few more months, you can get this option from the Chinese brand if you can’t afford the former.
The S25 Ultra sports a 6.78-inch 1080p AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a peak brightness of 1,400 nits, and Corning Gorilla Glass 7i for protection alongside an IP64 rating for dust and water resistance. Inside, the budget phone runs on a Unisoc T620 chipset paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, along with an under-display fingerprint scanner. For connectivity, it supports 4G, NFC, and unspecified versions of Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.
On the back of the phone, it is packed with a 50MP main camera, a macro lens, and an RGB light for notifications, while up front, it houses a 32MP selfie snapper. Powering the S25 Ultra is a 5,000Mah battery with support for 18W charging. Software-wise, it ships with itel OS 14.5 based on Android 14, which a promise of two major OS upgrades.
The S25 Ultra retails at RM699 and comes in black, titanium, and ocean colour options. As of writing, it can only be pre-ordered through one major distributor.
