Infinix has announced the local arrival of the Hot 50 4G, which will be launched on 5 December 2024. It is the third model from the lineup to be sold in Malaysia after the Hot 50 5G and the Hot 50i, with the 4G version offering an improved display to make up for the lack of 5G support.
The Hot 50 4G sports a 6.78-inch 1080p LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 800 nits. Under the hood, the entry-level phone gets a MediaTek Helio G100 chipset paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of expandable storage, but it is unknown what configuration will be offered here.
Imaging-wise, the budget phone gets a 50MP main camera with unspecified secondary sensors along with a 16MP selfie shooter. Powering the device is a 5,000mAh battery with support for 18W charging. Aside from 4G, it also supports Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth, NFC and it comes with a 3.5mm audio jack.
On the software side, the 4G model XOS 14.5 based on Android 14, which includes AI features such as an AI image eraser, the Folax assistant, a text generator, and more. Additionally, it is equipped with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and is splash resistant, but it is unclear if it has the same IP54 rating as its 5G counterpart.
