References towards Intel’s upcoming ARC Battlemage GPU series have appeared on the company’s own site. As pointed out by Videocardz, the chipmaker doesn’t even appear to be making an effort to hide the reference at all.
A search on Intel’s page, specifically, the system requirement section within its onAPI Math Kernel Library, shows Battlemage being blatantly mentioned within the GPU Accelerator Support subsection as “Arc B-Series Graphics”. The GPU is also listed alongside the chipmaker’s Core Ultra 2 Series, otherwise known as Arrow Lake and Lunar Lake.
Another leak from X user Haze found the ARC Battlemage Series listed on the support page for ARC dedicated graphics. All this points to the brand seemingly preparing to launch the new series soon. The question is whether it plans on doing a soft launch or announcing it on a grand scale.
It’s been over two years since Intel launched its ARC GPU series, with Alchemist paving the way. We reviewed the A750 back in March last year, and besides this bit of news, an earlier leak claims that the ARC B580 is set to be the first card to launch under Battlemage. Much like AMD, Intel may be attacking the mid-range market segment initially, instead of taking NVIDIA head on in the high-end and enthusiast-level market segment.
