UPDATE (25 November 5:20PM): iQOO Malaysia has confirmed that the iQOO 13 will indeed be launching in Malaysia in December, but stopped short of revealing the exact date. The brand also mentions the 2K 144Hz display, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and its own Q2 chip, but not the battery capacity, of which there are two possibilities.
ORIGINAL STORY (21 November 4:38PM):
The iQOO 13 has already been unveiled in its home market earlier in the month, with India looking to be next in line. Reports point toward a launch pretty early in the month, but it looks like there will a slight difference in the spec sheet between the two versions of the phone.
This difference between the iQOO 13 lies in the battery size. In China, the phone was launched with a 6,150 mAh battery, but according to the Amazon India listing, it is rated at 6,000 mAh instead. The rest of the phone’s spec sheet remains unchanged, so the battery will still be charging at a maximum of 120W.
The rest of the iQOO 13 spec sheet in both markets remain identical, which means a 6.82-inch AMOLED 2K screen with up to 144Hz refresh rate, and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. The same goes for the claimed IP69 rating. The Amazon India listing only specifically mentions the 32MP front-facing camera, so the rear triple camera setup coming with different pixel counts is not entirely impossible.
For what it’s worth, a source familiar with the company’s plans has revealed that the iQOO 13 will also be launching in Malaysia sometime in December, but stopped short of sharing an exact date. With the slight difference in battery capacity between the Chinese and Indian models, it remains to be seen if we will be getting one of these two variants, or a third configuration.
