ZTE has officially unveiled the Nubia Z70 Ultra in China, its newest flagship smartphone. The successor to last year’s Z60 Ultra, the phone comes with cutting edge specs including the top-of-the-line chipset from Qualcomm.
The Z70 Ultra sports a 6.85-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with high refresh rate of 144Hz and a peak brightness of 2,000 nits. Under the hood, the flagship runs on the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite chip paired with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage. For protection, it is equipped with Dragon Rhino glass as well as IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance.
On the imaging side, it features a 50MP main camera with OIS and a variable aperture, a 50MP ultra-wide lens with OIS that doubles as a macro sensor, and a 64MP periscope lens with OIS. Up front, you will notice there is no camera as the 16MP selfie shooter is hidden under the display. Additionally, it gets a two-stage mechanical shutter button.
Powering the smartphone is a hefty 6,150mAh battery with support for 80W charging. As for connectivity, it supports NFC, Bluetooth 5.4, Wi-Fi 7, and it gets an IR blaster. Software-wise, it ships with MyOS based on Android 15 out of the box.
The Nubia Z70 Ultra gets a starting price of CNY4,599 (~RM2,837) for the base 12GB+256GB trim. It is unknown when exactly it will be available in Malaysia, but the brand has confirmed that the flagship phone is set to debut globally on 26 November.
