OPPO today has officially launched its latest flagship smartphone series for the global market. It consists of two models, the Find X8 and Find X8 Pro, which are now available for pre-order n Malaysia.
As previously reported, both OPPO Find X8 models offer a similar design, featuring a large circular camera bump on the back, a flat surrounding frame, and an alert slider on the left-hand side. Both variants are rated IP68 + IP69 in terms of water and dust resistance. In terms of colour selection, the base Find X8 is available in Star Grey, Space Black and Shell Pink, while the Find X8 Pro is offered in Space Black and Pearl White, which has a unique pearlescent finish.
Imaging-wise, housed within the aforementioned bump are three 50MP sensors for the primary camera, wide-angle and 3x zoom telephoto, while only the Pro model comes with an additional 50MP secondary telephoto lens which supports up to 6x optical zoom. Found in front, housed within the punch-hole cutout on the display for both models, is a 32MP selfie shooter.
Meanwhile, powering the duo is MediaTek’s flagship Dimensity 9400 chipset, which is paired with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. On the software front, the Find X8 series comes with the brand’s latest ColorOS 15 platform that’s based on Android 15, along with a variety of OPPO AI features. The latter includes AI summarisation and translation for documents, as well as image editing tools such as reflection remover and 4K clarity enhancement. OPPO promises six years of security updates for both variants, along with four generations of Android updates for the Find X8 while the Pro model gets five.
The vanilla model is the smaller of the two, sporting a 6.59-inch FHD+ OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, 4,500 nits peak brightness, Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection, and an under-screen fingerprint scanner. It also comes with a 5,630mAh battery with 80W USB-C charging and 50W wireless charging.
Then we have the Pro variant, which features a larger 6.78-inch OLED display with curved edges, FHD+ resolution, and 120Hz refresh rate. Additionally, it offers a slightly larger 5,910mAh battery capacity with 80W wired and 50W wireless charging, as well as an all-new Quick Capture button.
The OPPO Find X8 and Find X8 Pro are set to arrive in Malaysia on 30 November 2024, priced at RM 3,699 and RM4,699 respectively. Those interested can pre-order both models through the brand’s official website starting today.
