Last week, vivo teased that the X200 series will finally be launched in Malaysia on 19 November. As promised, the veil was lifted from the two Android devices, confirming that the Pro mini model has not made it to our shores.
With the launch behind us, we can see that the vivo X200 series has not changed on its way to our shores. Which means that the base model has 6.67-inch 120Hz 2,800 × 1,260 120Hz AMOLED display, and a MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chipset. The battery is rated at 5,800 mAh with a 90W charging rate.
For cameras, the base model vivo X200 has three 50MP cameras at the back, including its wide-angle and telephoto units. In front, it gets a 32MP shooter sitting in a punch hole cutout.
As for the vivo X200 Pro, it shares the same chipset as the base model, but the screen has been upsized to 6.78 inches, while retaining just about every other element. The battery has also gotten larger, now rated at 6,000 mAh. It has the same 90W wired charging, with 30W wireless charging support added on top.
For the most part, the vivo X200 Pro shares the same camera setup in front and at the back. The only exception is the 200MP APO 3.7x optical zoom unit, the current signature of the series.
Locally, both models come only in a single configuration of 16GB + 512GB. With that, the base model vivo X200 will cost RM3,599, while the Pro model will instead cost RM4,699. Pre-orders are open until 22 November, after which you’ll be able to get them off shelves. You can find more details about each model by visiting their respective pages on the company’s official site.
