Maybank has announced that a number of the services it provides may not be available over the weekend. This is due to said services undergoing a system maintenance. But for what it’s worth, it’s happening at a time when most people would probably be in bed.
Specifically, the Maybank2u services and its mobile equivalent, as well as its ATMs and self-service terminals (SSTs) will not be available between 12AM and 7AM of both 16 and 17 November. The bank says that this “routine exercise is to ensure our platforms are up-to-date, so you can conduct your banking transactions more securely.

On its social media channels, Maybank says that these “will not be available on staggered basis for both days”. So while there’s a chance that you could still use some of the services within these windows, it’s probably better to have alternatives at the ready. As such, the bank asks that its customers “plan your transactions in advance to avoid any interruptions”.
On one hand, as mentioned, chances are you’re at home preparing for bed, if not already in it, during these hours. but it’s definitely something to keep in mind, if you’ve planned to get late drinks or supper as the week ends.
