Tile, the company that makes trackers, has made its debut in Malaysia through Shopee. Brought in through an authorised distributor, the brand has now made four of its products available to local consumers, along with an official one-year warranty.
The lineup being introduced in Malaysia is, unfortunately, a bit outdated as they are the previous models sold by the company before the 2024 refresh that was announced in September. What is available includes the Mate, Pro, Sticker, and Slim Bluetooth trackers.
The Mate and Sticker trackers are sold in packs of two, priced at RM229 and RM239 respectively, while the Slim retails at RM169. All three models sport roughly the same specs, just in different form factors. They have a range of 76 metres and are powered by a non-replaceable battery that can last up to three years.
There is also the Tile Pro, which costs RM179 and gets a wider range of 120 metres with a battery that only lasts a year but can be replaced. Additionally, there is a bundle pack that gets you the Slim and Pro for RM350, which is oddly RM2 more than buying the two devices separately.
All these products mentioned have an IP67 rating for dust and water resistance. As for long-range tracking, Tile uses its own network and is not compatible with Apple’s Find My network or Google’s Find My Device network.
