The Apple smart home display has been the subject of much talk in recent times, with recent reports pointing to the more affordable model releasing as soon as March next year. To follow quite a bit after, according to supply chain analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, are IP cameras that the bitten fruit brand will start making in 2026.
In a Medium post, Kuo claims that the Apple smart home camera will be able to integrate seamlessly and wirelessly with other products by the company. He also says that the smart home camera will sport Apple Intelligence capabilities, much like the smart home display. The bitten fruit brand also has lofty goals for its IP cameras, aiming to sell over 10 million units a year.
The post mentions that Chinese acoustic components company GoerTek will be the exclusive assembly supplier, having received the New Product Introduction (NPI) for it. Which perhaps doesn’t make as much sense for an IP camera, but also mentioned by Kuo is Apple’s plan to make “health management features” a bigger part of the reasons to buy its AirPods. GoerTek is noted here as being “positioned to secure the NPI for the new 2026 AirPods models and serve as the primary supplier”.
With these two coming in 2026, their launch is currently sort of in line with the pricier Apple smart home display that comes with a robotic arm, and an expected price tag of US$1,000 (~RM4,454). Last we heard of that being mentioned, it has a much wider release window of between 2026 and 2027.
