Huawei has announced that it will debut two new devices soon in Malaysia. These include the MatePad 12 X and Watch D2, which are slated to arrive on 19 November 2024 but are already available for pre-order
Starting with the MatePad 12 X, Huawei touts it to be a flagship tablet designed for productivity, featuring PC-level features. The device offers a 12-inch LCD display with 2800 x 1840px resolution and 1,000 nits brightness, HarmonyOS 4.2, 12GB RAM, 256GB storage, 10,100 mAh battery with 66W SuperCharge via USB-C. Imaging-wise, on its back is a dual camera setup consisting of a 13MP primary and 8MP ultra-wide, while in front is an 8MP snapper.
The MatePad 12 X features Huawei’s NearLink Technology, enhancing interaction with accessories like the M-Pencil and Bluetooth Mouse. Additionally, it also offers dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity.
Next up is the Huawei Watch D2, which is the successor to the Watch D that was launched back in 2022. Like the latter, the newer model also features blood pressure monitoring capability, certified by the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) and Medical Device Regulation (MDR). Additionally, the smartwatch tracks ECG, SpO2, heart rate, and skin temperature, offering a comprehensive health overview.
The WATCH D2 features a lightweight design with a 1.82-inch display with 480 x 408px resolution, as well as a rotating crown and a Function/ ECG button on its side. It is available in Black and Gold with sweat-resistant straps, supports over 80 exercise modes, compatible with both iOS and Android devices, and offers up to six days of battery life.
Local pricing for both products are still kept under wraps for now, but those interested can already place their deposits for either product via Huawei Malaysia’s official website or its online stores on Shopee and Lazada. Early bird promotions for the MatePad 12 X include vouchers and free gifts like the HUAWEI M-Pencil, Smart Magnetic Keyboard and FreeBuds 5, whereas pre-orders for the WATCH D2 come with free gifts including the FreeBuds Pro 2 and other accessories.
