The OPPO Find N3 was released locally late last year, to it seems about the right time for a sequel to be announced. Officially, the company has not revealed details about a successor model just yet, but the rumour mill has it that the OPPO Find N5 will be arriving sometime within the first half of next year.
On Chinese social media Weibo, a leakster going by a handle that roughly translates to Smart Pikachu has made the aforementioned claim. The leakster also says that this OPPO Find N5 will also have a triple 50MP primary camera setup, while being lighter and thinner than before.
Other items on the supposed Find N5 spec sheet include the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, as well as support for magnetic wireless charging. This is claimed to also be compatible with Apple’s ecosystem, but it remains to be seen in what way this compatibility will take form.
Earlier in the year though, we saw another leakster claim that the OPPO Find N5 would be making a debut this year. With no much left of the year remaining, this seems pretty unlikely at this point, though not entirely impossible. The same probably can’t be said about the clamshell foldable, the Find N5 Flip, which is said to have been cancelled, with the rumour mill not mentioning the phone again since.
