Coros has introduced the Pace Pro, its latest running smartwatch. The successor to last year’s Pace 3, the new model comes with a significantly upgraded screen and an upgraded processor, but that is also paired with a much higher price tag.
The Pace Pro sports a nominally larger 1.3-inch 416×416 AMOLED touch display, which is made out of mineral glass for increased resistance, that has a peak brightness of 1,500 nits. For UI navigation, it comes with a dial and back button on the side. Under the hood, it gets an Ambiq Apollo510 chipset, which it claims is two times more powerful than the one found in its predecessor, along with 32GB of RAM, up from 4GB.
The battery life remains the same with the All Systems On mode, which lasts up to 38 hours, but in smartwatch mode for daily use, it can go up for up to a whopping 20 days. For health, it has sensors to track your heart rate, blood oxygen levels, and body temperature, but there is also a new ECG sensor.
For runners, the watch supports offline global and topographical maps as well as Turn-by-Turn, Checkpoint, Back-To-Start, and Deviation Alert features. Durability-wise, it gets a 5ATM rating for water resistance, which is suited for swimming but not diving, and in can work in temperatures ranging from 20°C to 50°C.
The Pace Pro is available now for RM1,699 and you can go to its website to find out more. It is currently only being offered in black on authorised retailer Pangu’s website, but blue and grey colour options have been listed as “coming soon”.
