IoT brand 360 Botslab has announced a number of smart home monitoring devices for the Malaysian market. Distributed by TRIO locally, the company highlights three home security cameras, one for the indoors and two for the outdoors. All three of them interact with the brand’s mobile app that are on Android and iOS
Starting with the former, there’s the C221, or to go with its full name, the Botslab Indoor Cam 2 Pro C221, this is a 5MP camera that records 3K resolution video. Featuring what is called AI multi-scene detection, the camera has the ability to detect people and pets coming into its field of view. With that, you can get it to send alerts to you when it detects either an intrusion, or even when there’s no one. There’s a capacitive button that allows two way audio communication, but when the button is out of reach, this can also be activated via gestures.
For the outdoors, there’s the Botslab Outdoor Pan/Tilt Camera Pro W312, which provides 360 degrees of horizontal coverage, and 147 degrees vertically. To go with the wide angles of coverage is the ability to “patrol”, letting it monitor a wider area than its own lens is capable of. It can also track people coming in to view, with automatic zoom to keep them in. The camera itself is a 4MP unit that records 2.5K resolution footage, and it also sports two-way voice comms as mentioned above.
Finally, there’s the Botslab Outdoor Dual-Lens Camera W302. As the name suggests, this comes with two separate lenses on either side, giving it a wider 170 degrees field of view. Though you do give up the 360 degrees coverage for this. In addition to being able to track people, this model also gets the ability to track vehicles. Speaking of which, both outdoor models are armed with a siren and light alarm combo as well as an IP66 rating to endure the elements.
The Botslab C221 indoor camera is priced locally at RM329, while the W312 and W302 outdoor ones get RM339 and RM449 price tags respectively. You can get these from the brand’s official stores on both Lazada and Shopee.
