vivo has officially launched the Y19s on its online store, bringing the successor of the Y17s to market. The entry-level smartphone was already listed by retailers last week, but it seems there is another configuration that is sold directly by the brand itself.
The Y19s sports a bigger 6.68-inch 720p LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a higher peak brightness of 1,000 nits. Internally, the affordable smartphone runs on a Unisoc T612 chipset paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of expandable storage. For connectivity, it comes with 4G support, Bluetooth 5.2, Wi-Fi 5, and a headphone jack, but no NFC support. On the protection side, it comes with an anti-drop cushioning design as well as an IP64 rating for dust and water resistance.
Optics-wise, the smartphone features a 50MP main camera, a depth sensor, and a 5MP front lens. Powering it is a large 5,500mAh battery with support for 15W charging. Additionally, it comes with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and ships with Funtouch OS 14 based on Android 14.
The Y19s retails from RM449 for the base 4GB+64GB variant, RM499 for the 6GB+128GB variant, and RM599 for the 8GB+256GB variant. It is available for purchase now but it will only ship out starting 12 November.
