OPPO is set to release another model from the A3 lineup into the Malaysian market with the A3 5G. As you can tell from the name, it is the 5G counterpart to the A3 that was launched here a couple of months back. It gets the same chipset as the A3 Pro, along with similar support for 5G.
While the phone was unveiled back in August, the company has yet to announced a local launch date. However, we have spotted the 5G model in the SIRIM database, with the upcoming smartphone getting certified on 30 October 2024 with the model number CPH2683. This indicates that the brand plans on releasing this version here in the near future. While we don’t know the pricing yet, for reference, it costs INR15,999 (~RM836) in India.
As for the specs, the A3 5G sports a 6.67-inch 720p LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1,000 nits. For protection, it is equipped with an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance, shock and drop resistance, and Panda glass. Under the hood, it runs on a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor with 128GB of expandable storage and up to 6GB of RAM, although the configuration offered here might differ.
Optics-wise, it features a 50MP main camera, a depth sensor, and a 5MP selfie snapper. Powering it is a 5,100mAh battery with support for 45W charging. Aside from 5G, it also supports Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.3, and NFC.
