The Terengganu state government seems to be interested in the love lives of its people as it recently announced a dating app that is currently in development. Dubbed as Jodoh Darul Iman, the Terengganu Family Development Foundation (YPKT) revealed that it is working together with a local firm called Top IT Industries, which is owned by the state government, to build the app.
The foundation stated that the app is about 98% completed, meaning that it will likely be ready to launch very soon. Moreover, it said that the dating app was built specifically to help Terengganu residents find their soulmate and that it would be available for free.
Not much is known about the app but based on the meeting photos posted by the YPKT, the information that will be displayed about each user will include their name, age, gender, marriage status, race, and religion. Like most dating apps, users will have the option to express their interest in someone by clicking a “berminat” button on their profile.
It is unclear if the app will be exclusive to those who live in the state, and how it will be implemented if that is indeed the case. As of now, it is unknown when exactly it will be rolled out and if it will also be available as a desktop website.
