OnePlus has officially unveiled the OnePlus 13 in China. The brand’s latest flagship smartphone is equipped with the newly announced Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and, naturally, features other improvements over its predecessor.
Design-wise, the OnePlus 13 ditches the fully curved display of its predecessors in favour of a 2.5D quad-curved screen, giving the illusion of a flat display with subtle edges. This design shift also makes the phone slightly shorter than its predecessor.
OnePlus’ latest flagship features a 6.82-inch X2 OLED display made by BOE, boasting 1440p resolution and an adaptive 1-120 Hz refresh rate. Additionally, the panel has a peak brightness of 4,500 nits, and comes with an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner. The phone itself offers a higher water and dust resistance rating of IP69.
Accompanying the onboard Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset is up to a whopping 24GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage. Meanwhile, powering the device is a 6,000mAh battery that supports 100W wired and 50W wireless charging. The company also introduced an advanced vibration motor with a 602mm³ volume, claiming it offers “gaming controller-level feedback.”
The OnePlus 13 runs ColorOS 15 on Android 15 for the Chinese market, with global models expected to feature OxygenOS 15. Besides that, it comes with stereo speakers, a USB-C 3.2, as well as dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.4 and NFC connectivity.
Imaging-wise, on the back of the smartphone are three Hasselblad cameras with 50MP sensors. The main camera uses a Sony LYT-808 sensor with optical image stabilisation (OIS), while a 3x periscope telephoto lens (LYT-600) offers enhanced zoom functionality. The ultrawide lens, equipped with Samsung’s S5KJN5 sensor, doubles as a macro camera, enabling close-up shots with a 15mm equivalent focal length. Up front is a 32MP selfie camera housed within the display’s punch-hole cutout.
In China, the OnePlus 13 starts from CNY4,499 (~RM2,763) for the 12GB + 256GB configuration, and reaches CNY5,999 (~RM3,684) for the high-end 24GB + 1TB. It is available in three colour options: White, Obsidian, and Blue. No news on when it will be available internationally, but a local launch is supposedly imminent as the new smartphone was recently discovered in SIRIM’s database.
