The Xiaomi Smart Band 9 was just launched a couple of months ago, and now the company has launched in its own home market a Pro model. Accompanying it is the Watch S4, with a version that has the capability of taking an eSIM on which affords it additional features.
According to GSMArena, the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro has a 1.74-inch 336 x 480 AMOLED screen with a 1,200 nits peak brightness, and a 350mAh battery with a claimed 21-day battery life. Connectivity options include Bluetooth 5.4 and NFC, with compatibility with devices running Android 8, iOS 12, or later.
As for the Xiaomi Watch S4, this has a 1.43-inch 466 x 466 AMOLED display with 2,200 nits peak brightness. The Bluetooth version here is 5.3, and its NFC capabilities lets it be a car key substitute, but only in its home market. As mentioned earlier, the eSIM model has additional features like allows for music listening and calls without a phone being paired.
That being the case, both the Band and Watch get 5ATM water resistance, and the usual range of health tracking sensors to measure heart rate, blood oxygen, and even sleep analysis. Both also feature over 150 sports modes.
The report notes that the Xioami Smart Band 9 Pro is priced at CNY399 (~RM246), with its magnetic quick release straps and leather quick release straps costing CNY169 (~RM104) and CNY99 (~RM61) respectively. As for the Watch S4, this starts from CNY999 (~RM615). No word on local availability and pricing as of yet.
