Alongside its new 15 flagship series, Xiaomi has also introduced a new upper mid-range tablet lineup with the Pad 7 series. Made up of a vanilla and a Pro variant, the two devices sport similar externals but run on different specs on the inside.
Let’s start with the headliner, the Pad 7 Pro. It has an 11.2-inch 3.2K LCD display with a 144Hz refresh rate, a 3:2 aspect ratio, and a peak brightness of 800 nits. Under the hood, it is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset along with an 8,850mAh battery that supports 67W charging.
For optics, it features a 50MP main camera, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 32MP front shooter. On the connectivity side, the tablet supports Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4. Additionally, both models are equipped with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and a total of four speakers.
As for the vanilla version, it packs the same size and display, but it runs on a lower-end Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 3 chip instead. Backing it is an identical 8,850mAh cell but with support for 45W charging. Software-wise, the lineup ships with the brand’s new HyperOS 2 based on Android 15.
The Pad 7 series starts from CNY1,999 (~RM1,230) for the base configuration while the Pro gets a starting price tag of CNY2,499 (~RM1,538). For now, it is unknown when the company plans to release the tablets into other markets.
