AMD has yet to the launch its Ryzen 9000X3D series right and proper, yet some European retailers in France and Lithuania have already jumped the gun and listed the Ryzen 7 9800X3D processor on their retail page, albeit it briefly. As for which countries, it was in France and Lithuania.
In France, the supposed 9800X3D was listed on the site PC21, with a retail price of €463.58 (~RM2,188) without value-added tax (VAT). Over in Lithuania, the 3D V-Cache processor was being sold at €557.31 (~RM2,630) without VAT.
As these things usually go, these price tags are unlikely to be final, so we do recommend that you take these listings at face value for the moment. That said, those are sharp increases for a 3D V-Cache CPU of this calibre. At present, the Zen4-based Ryzen 7 7800X3D retails at RM1,899; the steep increase in price for the 9800X3D could be due to the less-than-stellar sales of AMD’s non-X3D Ryzen 9000 Series CPUs.
On another note, there is also a rumour that the 9800X3D is going to be the only 3D V-Cache Zen5 CPU launching on its 6 November (7 November for us) grand day.
Not only that, but the CPU will also mark a significant change in the design, with AMD reportedly having relocated the 3D V-Cache from the top of the CCD to the bottom.
