The OnePlus 13 has finally made an appearance on the SIRIM database, signalling its imminent launch in Malaysia. Last week, we saw the appearance of its cheaper variant, the 13R, on the database. The listing of both phones within a short timespan may indicate a simultaneous launch just like earlier this year.
The brand received approval for the OnePlus 13 on 25 October 2024 with the model number CPH2653. It is scheduled to be unveiled in China on 31 October, but there is no info yet on when it might arrive in Malaysia. With the launch just days away, the company has already revealed several of its key features.
For starters, it will run on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, paired with up to 24GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. As for the display, while we don’t know what the dimensions are, it will feature a 2K panel with Rain Touch 2.0 technology and Dolby Vision support.
Photography-wise, the OnePlus 13 will once again feature a Hasselblad co-designed setup, made up of a 50MP Sony LYT-808 main sensor, a 3x telephoto lens, and a 50MP ultra-wide lens. Additionally, the flagship phone will be equipped with four microphones for AI call noise reduction with an upgraded speaker system, NFC support, and an infrared blaster.
