The OPPO Find X8 series has already made unofficial appearances on the internet with leaks, as well as a SIRIM listing. Then there are official teasers, followed by the eventual official unveiling in its home market. Though that doesn’t stop the company from making a big deal out of saying that the series will get a global launch soon, but without actually mentioning when.
But going over the phones themselves, the base model OPPO Find X8 comes with a 6.59-inch Full HD+ flat OLED screen with up to 120Hz refresh rate. Inside, it packs a MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chipset, a 5,630 mAh battery with 80W wired and 50W wireless charging. The entire package has the rare IP69 rating.
Cameras on the OPPO Find X8 include a triple 50MP combo consisting of a main, wide-angle, and portrait shooter, with 3x teleophoto zoom capabilities. In front, there’s a 32MP shooter instead.
The Find X8 Pro is actually pretty similar to the base model. One key difference is that it has a slightly larger 6.78-inch screen that’s slightly curved at the edges, but its other specs are the same. It also gets a slightly larger battery, rated at 5,910 mAh. The camera setup also makes use of the extra space for 6x zoom.
The OPPO Find X8 gets a starting memory and storage config of 12GB + 256GB, capping out at 16GB + 512GB. This corresponds to a price range of between CNY4,199 (~RM2,563) and CNY4,999 (~RM3,052). The Pro model, on the other hand, has a starting price of CNY5,299 (~RM3,235) for 12GB + 256GB, maxing out at CNY6,799 (~RM4,150) for 16GB + 1TB plus satellite communication. As mentioned, no word on an international release, but the brand mentions “the upcoming global launch”, and stopped there.
