With the OnePlus 13 expected to launch at the end of the month, the cheaper alternative to the model, the OnePlus 13R, has already popped up in the local SIRIM database.
Specifically, the OnePlus 13R was discovered under the codename CPH2645, along with the moniker in closed brackets. Again, as this is expected to be the cheaper alternative to the OnePlus 13, you could expect to be watered down but not by much.
For context, when the OnePlus 12 and 12R launched earlier this year, the former launched with this year’s flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen3 SoC, while the latter model shipped out with a Snapdragon 8 Gen2. Again, it’s a dumb-down in the chipset department, but not by a great deal.
There isn’t a lot of information beyond the SIRIM listing but rumours and online whispers suggest that the OnePlus 13R could house a 6,000mAh battery: considerably bigger than the 5,500mAh unit that was fitted in the last-gen models. In addition, the display on the phone is expected to be a 1.5K panel, although the screen size has yet to be revealed.
