AMD confirmed the launch date for its Ryzen 9000X3D series today. The red chipmaker’s 3D V-Cache powered Zen5 CPUs are set to land on next month, or 7 November, to be precise.
This puts the initial rumours of AMD alleged plans of raining down on the official launch of Intel’s Arrow Lake-S desktop CPUs a day after, to rest. For another matter, rumours are suggesting that AMD could be launching a total of thre Ryzen 9000X3D CPUs simultaneously, although the SKU that has been springing more leaks than the others is the Ryzen 7 9800X3D, likely because the community are expecting some really great things. After the success of the 7800X3D.

One such leak of the Ryzen 9800X3D shows the CPU’s alleged performance on Cinebench R23, with all cores running between 5.6GHz and 5.7GHz. This is interesting, mainly because the CPU is rumoured to have a turbo clock of 5.2GHz, and those speeds were acquired using AMD’s Precision Boost Overdrive (PBO), along with an offset and BCLK change.
Getting back on point and in conjunction with the launch date of the Ryzen 9000X3D series, AMD also announced that its non-X3D Ryzen 9000 series will be getting a price cut across the board. All four SKUs, from the top-tier Ryzen 9 9950X to the mid-range Ryzen 5 9600X will be getting a price cut.
