HONOR has unveiled a new X series smartphone on its global website dubbed the X7c. It is the first in the lineup to feature the new “c” moniker, ushering a new generation of its high-durability offerings.
The X7c sports a 6.77-inch 720p LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a peak brightness of 850 nits, and a minimum brightness of only 2 nits. Under the hood it runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset, gets a massive 6,000mAh battery that supports 35W charging, and ships with MagicOS 8.0 based on Android 14 with the brand’s Magic Capsule feature. Confusingly, the phone is advertised with a Snapdragon 4 Gen 2, but its spec sheet states that it actually has a Snapdragon 685.
On the protection side, it is equipped with a 5-star drop resistance rating as well as an IP64 rating for dust and water resistance. Imaging-wise, it features a 108MP main camera, a depth sensor, and an 8MP front snapper. For connectivity, it supports 4G, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.0, and NFC,a long with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for unlocking.
The X7c is offered in three colourways and retails at a starting price of AZN360 (~RM910), although the Azerbaijan variant only has a 5,200mAh cell. It is currently unknown when the company plans to bring the entry-level phone to other markets. However, HONOR has confirmed today that the X9c will be launching in Malaysia in November.
