Samsung is set to unveil a new Galaxy device on October 21, although the name of the product has not yet been disclosed. It’s been speculated that it’s the Galaxy Z Fold6 Special Edition. Samsung recently shared a teaser video for the announcement.
The device is rumoured to have a thickness of 4.9mm when unfolded and 10.6mm when folded. It’s also rumoured to feature a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, a 200MP primary camera, and an IP48 rating for water and dust resistance. The device’s cover screen is expected to measure 6.5 inches diagonal, while the main folding display will measure 8 inches.
The smartphone will likely resemble the Galaxy Z Fold6, but with a flatter frame and rounded corners. The camera island is also a bit thicker, and its colour design on the rear has a brushed metal finish.
Its official name, whether it would be the Galaxy Z Fold6 Special Edition, remains uncertain. With the unveiling just a few days away, more details about the new device will be anticipated.
