Despite the launch of the GT 6 in the middle of this year, it looks like the realme GT 7 Pro is already on its way. And it could get its unveiling event as soon as this month, though there’s still no exact date just yet.
The Chinese brand’s president, Xu Qi Chase, made the announcement via Weibo, though with little in terms of additional details. The post notes that the realme GT 7 Pro will have both a flagship Snapdragon chip, as well as a periscope camera, so that potential buyers “don’t have to choose” between the two. There’s also the bit about the phone living up to the GT name, as the series is the brand’s designated flagship series.
On the subject of Snapdragon, Qualcomm is expected to unveil the next generation of its mobile chipsets later this month. This will likely include a Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, which would fit the description of a flagship chip, and it lines up with what the previous entries were equipped with.
The periscope camera of the realme GT 7 Pro, on the other hand, could come in just about any configuration, as many have appeared since the first example for phones. If the brand is indeed waiting for the Qualcomm reveals before launching the phone, it may happen the week after that.
