realme has officially launched the realme 13 5G series in Malaysia, made up of the vanilla model as well as the Plus model. While the price of the former was leaked by retailers earlier this week, we finally know the price of the 13 Plus as well.
Starting with the vanilla variant, the realme 13 sports a 6.72-inch 1080p LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a global peak brightness of 580 nits. It runs on a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset paired with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of expandable storage. Moreover, it gets a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, supports 5G, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.3, and comes with a 3.5mm audio jack.
Imaging-wise, the smartphone features a 50MP main camera with OIS, a depth sensor, and a 16MP selfie shooter. Powering it is a 5,000mAh battery with support for 45W charging. Both phones ship with realme UI 5.0 based on Android 14 and as for protection, the 13 gets an IP64 rating for dust and water resistance while the Plus comes with a higher IP65 rating.
Moving on to the higher-end realme 13 Plus, it is fitted with a 6.67-inch 1080p OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a global peak brightness of 600 nits, and a local peak brightness of 2,000 nits for HDR content. Under the hood, the phone is equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Energy chip with 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of expandable storage.
On the optics side, it has a 50MP main camera with OIS, a depth sensor, a flicker sensor, and a 16MP front snapper. It is backed by a 5,000mAh cell with a much faster charging speed of 80W. It uses an under-display fingerprint sensor, has an audio jack, and supports 5G, Wi-Fi 6, and Bluetooth 5.4. Unfortunately, unlike its Pro counterparts, this series does not support NFC.
The realme 13 retails at RM1,199 while the 13 Plus comes with a price tag of RM1,399 for the 12GB+256GB variant and RM1,799 for the 12GB+512GB variant. You can purchase the 13 Plus through the brand’s Lazada and Shopee stores from 19 October at a limited-time promo price of RM1,699 for the 512GB variant, while the 13 will go on sale starting 1 November. Additionally, the company announced that the GT 7 Pro will be coming to Malaysia in November, but no exact date has been given yet.
