Sequels and successors to smartphones usually come with the expectation that it is better than what comes before, though there are some that subvert said expectation. It appears that the HONOR X60 and X60 Pro may be among those that do just that, judging from its spec sheet.
Starting with the base model, the HONOR X60 has a 6.8-inch flat Full HD+ LCD screen with 120Hz refresh rate. Inside, there’s a MediaTek Dimensity 7025-Ultra chipset, a 5,800 mAh battery with 35W charging. For cameras, there’s a 108MP main + 2MP depth sensor combo at the back and an 8MP secondary shooter in front.
Moving on to the HONOR X60 Pro, and this is where things get a bit interesting. On the outside is a 6.78-inch curved OLED screen with a 2,700 x 1,224 resolution, but inside, it packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1, where the X50 Pro had a Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1. The battery here is a 6,600 mAh pack with 66W charging. It also has the same camera setup as the base model, but the front-facing camera sits in a pill-shaped cutout.
Other things worth noting is that both the HONOR X60 and X60 Pro run MagicOS 8 based on Android 14. And while both support the same Bluetooth codecs, but the former runs Bluetooth 5.3 while the latter gets 5.1 instead. Making up for this somewhat is the latter’s support for two-way satellite texting, at least in its home market.
And on that note, the HONOR X60 comes in four memory and storage configurations, which are 8GB + 128GB, 8GB + 256GB, 12GB + 256GB and 12GB + 512GB. These are priced at RMB1,200 (~RM725), RMB1,400 (~RM846), RMB1,600 (~RM967) and RMB1,800 (~RM1,088) respectively. The Pro has the same configurations, but are instead priced at RMB1,500 (~RM906), RMB1,700 (~RM1,027), RMB2,000 (~RM1,208) and RMB2,300 (~RM1,290) respectively.
