vivo is expected to introduce the V40 Lite 5G soon, with its teasers revealing that Malaysia will be getting the same version as Indonesia. However, ahead of the local launch, a couple of local retailers have already listed the upcoming phone, revealing the price of both of its configurations.
According to listings by MMG Distribution, which runs the vivo Concept Store in Kluang Mall, and Fortune Mobile, the V40 Lite will retail with a starting price of RM1,299 for the 12GB+256GB variant, while the 12GB+512GB configuration will cost RM1,499. Both variants will be offered in black, purple, and silver colour options, with sales starting from 26 October 2024.
Spec-wise, the V40 Lite sports a a 6.67-inch 1080p AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a global peak brightness of 1,200 nits. Inside, it runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset and is backed by a 5,000mAh cell that supports 80W charging. There is also an under-display fingerprint scanner, an IP64 rating for dust and water resistance, and it ships with Funtouch OS 14 based on Android 14.
For photography, it is equipped with a 50MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 32MP selfie snapper. Just like its V40 counterpart, it comes with an LED ring light. Powering the mid-range smartphone is a 5,000mAh battery with support for 80W charging. As for connectivity, it supports 5G, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.0, and NFC.
