Nuio has entered the peripherals market with the launch of its first product, the Nuio Flow, an ergonomic keyboard designed for comfort, modularity, and customisation. Co-founded by former Apple executive Tom Wilson and his brother Greg, the Flow focuses on aiding proper wrist alignment, making it an ideal choice for the office, gamers, and anyone who spends extensive time typing.
The keyboard is split into two halves so that users can position each side according to their body’s natural posture, reducing stress on the wrists, arms, and shoulders. The keyboard’s design has a magnetic peripheral system, so various components such as Nuio’s trackpads, rotating stands, and wrist pads can easily be attached and detached.
The keyboard comes with rubber dome switches and custom backlit concave keycaps. The keys feature white backlighting, and the built-in battery can last up to 28 days, though this decreases to 10 days if the backlight and keyboard are used for four hours continuously daily. Connectivity-wise, the keyboard connects via Bluetooth and can sync with up to three devices, including PCs, Macs, and mobile devices.
The Nuio Flow is priced at US$399 (~RM1,715) and is currently available for pre-order via the brand’s website, with shipping scheduled for December. Additional accessories like the Flow Trackpad are priced at US$249 (~RM1,070), US$129 (~RM549) for a small desk pad, and a pair of standing wrist pads for US$99 (~RM425) each.
The initial offering includes a Space Gray model with macOS legends, while options for Windows or dual OS legends and other colour options—such as silver, gold, rose gold, blue, green, and brown—will become available in January.
