HONOR has released new AI-powered features to its Magic6 Pro flagship smartphone. Newly introduced are the AI Eraser and Face-to-Face Translation tools, which are developed in collaboration with Google Cloud. The company says both of these will be rolled out to Malaysian consumers in batches.
AI Eraser does exactly what you’d expect it to do, which is to remove unwanted objects from your photos. Whether it’d be a person in the background or other obstructions, these can be easily removed via the updated HONOR Magic6 Pro’s photo app. Meanwhile, the new Face-to-Face Translation feature allows for real-time translated communication between the user and another individual, with up to 10 different languages available, including Bahasa Malaysia.
Since it’s been a while, here’s a quick recap of the HONOR Magic6 Pro, which launched back in March this year. It features a 6.8-inch LTPO OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 1,600 nits peak brightness, and 5,000 nits for HDR content. It runs on a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage, housed in a chassis with NanoCrystal Shield and IP68-rated protection.
Its camera system includes a 50MP main sensor with OIS, a 180MP telephoto lens offering 2.5x optical and 100x digital zoom, and a 50MP ultra-wide lens with autofocus. The front has a 50MP selfie camera and 3D depth sensor. The device is powered by a 5,600mAh battery supporting 80W wired, 66W wireless, and reverse charging.
The HONOR Magic6 Pro is available in a single 12GB + 512GB configuration, priced at RM4,499. It is available in black (glass) and green (PU) colourways.
