Earlier this month during the Samsung Developer Conference 2024, the company announced it will be bringing One UI to its Tizen-powered TVs. With the company already having One UI integrated within its smartphones, the tech giant is now bringing the software to all of its major product lines including televisions.
Starting today, the South Korean firm has started rolling out the update to select TVs including ones released in 2023. Additionally, the firm has mentioned that Smart TVs will be getting system updates for the next seven years.
Samsung released the One UI update based on the Tizen 8.0 operating system, bringing a new interface, several new UI improvements, new Game Bar features, and more. The update includes some new UI software elements throughout the system including a “For you” tab on the homescreen full of “personalised recommendations” and a new “Watch Later” list.
Some apps may not yet work with the latest Tizen update (v8.0), as the company is still slowly integrating the software elements overtime. SamMobile has provided Samsung’s TV One UI changelog of updates regarding any information needed to navigate the update through your Smart TV.
