Adobe has announced some new AI suites that will be added to its Creative Cloud applications. Photoshop will soon be getting an automatic background distraction removal feature, along with an enhanced Firefly generative AI model. It’s also worth mentioning that InDesign, Illustrator, and Premier Pro will also be getting some new AI tools added as well.
The new Distraction Removal feature in Photoshop builds on the existing Remove Tool, letting users eliminate unwanted objects seamlessly. The feature automatically identifies common distractions and removes them with a single click. This feature can soon be accessed on both the desktop and web versions of Photoshop, with “more to come later,” according to Adobe.
Additionally, Photoshop’s Generative Expand, Generative Fill, Generative Similar, and Generate Background tools are now available as it has been updated with the latest Firefly Image 3 Model. Its web app also has new AI features integrated, letting users automatically select all the distracting objects in an image using AI and edit or trash them all at once.
Illustrator also received a new “Objects on Path” feature for easier arrangement of design elements, and an improved Mockup tool for 3D staging. Additionally, InDesign now has the Generative Expand tool, allowing for dynamic image resizing, while Premiere Pro introduces a new Generative Extend feature now available in its beta phase.
