vivo has officially unveiled the X200 series, its newest flagship lineup that is also the first to debut the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 SoC, which is fitted in all three models. Coming in vanilla, Pro, and Pro mini variants, the series also features Zeiss T* optics and the brand’s in-house V3+ imaging chip.
Starting with the top-of-the-line X200 Pro, it sports a 6.78-inch quad-curved 2800×1260 LTPO AMOLED display with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, a local peak brightness of 4,500 nits, and an undisclosed global peak brightness. All three phones come with an IP68 and an IP69 rating for dust and water resistance, along with an under-display fingerprint scanner, although only the Pro uses an ultrasonic sensor while the rest uses standard optical sensors.
For photography, the Pro features a new 50MP 1/1.28″ main camera with OIS, which is technically a step down from the X100 Pro’s 1-inch sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide lens with autofocus, and the X100 Ultra‘s 200MP APO telephoto lens with 3.7x optical zoom and OIS. Powering it is a massive 6,000mAh battery with support for 90W wired and 30W wireless charging.
Next up is the X200 Pro mini, which is essentially the same phone but in a smaller size and a downgraded telephoto camera. It is fitted with a 6.31-inch LTPO AMOLED with a 120Hz refresh rate and the same peak brightness levels.
On the imaging side, it gets the same 50MP primary sensor with OIS and 50MP ultra-wide lens, but the periscope lens uses a “mere” 50MP snapper with 3x optical zoom and OIS. Backing it is a 5,700mAh cell, which is the smallest capacity in the lineup, with support for 90W wired and 30W wireless charging.
Finally, the X200 is the most “affordable” of the bunch, with 6.67-inch AMOLED display without LTPO technology, a 120Hz refresh rate, and the same 4,500 local peak brightness. Additionally, while on the Pro series gets satellite connectivity support, the vanilla model does get a Bluetooth-based offline communication technology that can send voice messages between compatible phones at up to 2km and SOS texts at up to 4km.
As for the optics, the flagship phone is equipped with a smaller 50MP sensor with OIS, the same 50MP telephoto lens as the Pro mini, and a 50MP ultra-wide lens, while all three models come with a 32MP front camera. It is powered by a 5,800mAh battery with support for 90W wired charging, but it lacks wireless charging.
The starting prices for the lineup are CNY4,300 (~RM2,603) for the vivo X200, CNY5,299 (~RM3,208) for the Pro, and CNY4,699 (~RM2,845) for the Pro mini. As of now, there is no word on a global launch for the series.
