Following the launch of the Comfo Run earlier in the year, audio brand Edifier has announced a new pair of TWS buds. These come in the form of the NeoDots. Setting itself apart from most other wireless earbuds in the market is what the company calls Hybrid Driver Units.
What this means is that each earbud comes with a balanced armature driver that deal with mid and high frequencies, as well as a 10mm dynamic driver to handle the lows. ANC is pretty much expected of TWS buds these days, but the Edifier NeoDots sports a hybrid setup that extends the depth of ANC at -48dB.
That being said, probably the greater highlight of the Edifier NeoDots is its battery life. On their own, the buds are claimed to be able to last for 17 hours, and with the case added to the equation, it gets extended to 56 hours, at least with ANC off. 15 minutes of charging would also give it an additional five hours of listening time, and there’s support for wireless charging.
Connectivity is done via Bluetooth 5.4, but the company says that it also has a gaming mode which cuts latency down to 80ms. Another nice bonus with the NeoDots is support for Google Fast Pair. But for more options like preset and custom equalisers, you’ll need the Edifier ConneX app. Rounding out the buds is an IP55 rating.
For now, there’s no local details as to when you can buy the NeoDots, and for what price. But for what it’s worth the online press release notes it to have a price tag of US$129.99 (~RM557).
