Tecno has officially revealed the Camon 30S, a new entry-level smartphone. This vanilla variant is nearly identical to the 30S Pro in terms of specs and the UV-sensitive colour-changing design, but it features a lower-resolution front camera, slower wired charging, and a lack of wireless charging.
The Camon 30S sports a 6.78-inch 1080p AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1,300 nits. Inside, the affordable device runs on a MediaTek Helio G100 chipset paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. It carries an IP53 rating for dust and water resistance, has an under-display fingerprint scanner, and ships with HIOS 14 based on Android 14.
Imaging-wise, the phone is fitted with a 50MP main camera with OIS, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 13MP selfie snapper. Powering it is a 5,000mAh battery that charges at a speed of 33W. Meanwhile, on the connectivity side, it supports 4G, NFC, and unspecified versions of Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
The Camon 30S retails at PKR60,000 (~RM925) in Pakistan with three colour options. There is no word yet on when it might come to Malaysia, but the phone has already been listed on SIRIM with the model number CLA5, indicating its imminent arrival. This means that the Camon series is returning here for the first time since the Camon 19 Neo in 2022.
